Our firm strives to provide value-based legal representation as efficiently and economically as we can.  But some simply cannot afford full representation. Others only desire discrete legal services. We and courts around the country strongly counsel against self representation (also called pro se representation) because of the many pitfalls, the least of which are the lack of sufficient objectivity and knowledge base to act in the role of appellate lawyer. Out of more than 86,000 lawyers comprising The Florida Bar, less than 200 of those lawyers are board certified in appellate practice. Less than 200.  Appellate law is specialized and complex.  Please understand: to proceed "self-represented" and to act as one's own appellate lawyer for the large part of one's appeal, a pro se litigant does so at great risk

That said, with strong advice against self representation, for those who simply cannot afford full representation and those with discrete, simple legal issues, our firm is committed to making appeal and contract legal services as accessible as we can for you. "Unbundled" appeal and contract services are a way to help you with that.

Unbundled and DIY Civil Appeals and Forms:

Our "unbundled" appeal services are "a la carte" pay-as-you-consume services. If you desire these types of limited  appellate services, please email us and we will send you written information about our "unbundled" appeal legal advice and appeal document and research services, what those services will not do, and the risks associated with this type of limited-scope representation on an appeal.

If this is already an appeal or a matter that you desire to appeal, please include in your email
(1) "unbundled legal services" in the subject line of your email, (2) your full name, (3) your contact telephone number, (4) your case style (_______ suing __________ case names). (5) your case number and the court or agency your case is in, and (6) a 1-2 sentence descrption of your case.  We will send a follow up email or call you if more information is needed, and then send you follow up  information.  Together, we can decide if those services will work for you and provide as many of them as we can so that you get the guidance you need and can afford.  Our goal is to help you.

Some services--such as legal research and writing on discreet legal issues on appeal, simple appellate motions, simple appellate briefing without oral argument, and business and employment contract, noncompete and confidentiality drafting, review and revision--may be scoped to be "a la carte". And some services or legal issues, in our firm's opinion, are not amenable to "unbundling," especially in the areas of complex appeals.

Unlike legal forms sites with non-lawyer document preparation, the legal work here is performed and reviewed by a Florida licensed attorneys admitted to practice in Florida and also in the 9th Circuit Appeals Court, the 11th Circuit Appeals Court or  the U.S. Supreme Court.
